The federal government has decided to formulate a new policy on the issuance of arms licenses.
According to details, under the new policy of the federal government, the quota for arms licenses of MPs has been abolished.
Sources said that only one license will be issued to the MPs, the MPs will be issued licenses only in their own names, the power to issue licenses for prohibited bore will be with the Home Minister.
Sources further said that the Home Secretary will be able to issue non-prohibited licenses. During the PPP regime, 200,000 arms licenses were issued, 100,000 Kalashnikov licenses and 222 rifle licenses were issued.
