Ahmed Shehzad returns to cricket with Fifty
Lahore: In the opening match of Kashmir Premier League, Rawalakot openers managed to form a partnership of 125 runs while Ahmed Shehzad returned to cricket with a fifty.
Mirpur Royals won the toss and elected to bowl in the opening match of the Kashmir Premier League which started with a colorful opening ceremony in Muzaffarabad.
Bismillah Khan scored 59 off 42 balls with the help of 4 sixes and the same number of fours. He was bowled by Emad Butt to give his team its first wicket.
Returning to cricket after fitness issues, Ahmed Shehzad scored 69 runs with 4 sixes and 7 fours and caught Muhammad Talha on the ball of Khushdal Shah. He faced 42 balls during this period. Danish Aziz became the third wicket of Emad Butt by scoring only 2 runs. He caught wicketkeeper Mohammad Akhlaq.
Shahid Afridi scored 16 runs including 2 sixes as Salman Irshad bowled Asif Afridi, Hussain Talat 18 and Kashif Ali remained unbeaten on one run.
Rawla Kot Hawks got a total of 194 for 6, Emad Butt took 3 wickets for 20 runs, Salman Irshad took 2 wickets, Samin Gul 48 and Mohammad Irfan 40 runs.
