FBR issues notification of suspension of sales tax
FBR has issued notification of suspension of sales tax.
According to the details, the sales tax imposed on the retail price of sugar has been suspended till November 30. The FBR has issued a notification to suspend the sales tax.
According to the notification, sales tax will be levied on ex-mill price instead of retail price of sugar. No change will be made in the rate of sales tax on sugar.
The notification states that the aim is to reduce the price of sugar and ensure its availability.
It should be noted that in the budget of the financial year, sales tax was imposed on the printed retail price of sugar.
