According to a notification issued by the FBR, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will levy a 2% tax on online businesses from September 1.
The notification said that the owners of online businesses will pay 2% tax on the purchase of all items while 2% additional tax will not be applicable on tax filers.
According to the notification issued by the FBR, non-filers doing business online will also be brought into the tax net.
The decision to tax the online marketplace was made in the new budget.
