Experts say the rapid deforestation is leading to more lightning strikes.
Bangladesh has been battered by severe monsoon storms these days, with a week of heavy rains in the southeastern district of Cox's Bazar killing at least 20 people.
Hundreds of people are killed in lightning strikes in Bangladesh every year.
More than 200 people were killed by lightning in 2016, compared to 82 in a single day in May, according to official figures.
